Helen: Lorelei--in my occult bookstore--you weren't interested in mystical--- Mindmistress: Untrue. I looked for magic wands and fairy godmothers. Helen: Lorelei--is your astral form--? Mindmistress: Normal? No. I'm anything but.Helen: Ah. Here's my brother. Mindmistress: Frederick. Frederick: Have...we met? I'd remember someone--armored--like you. Helen: Armored? Mindmistress: Ah. Helen, having met me, sees my--spirit?---as she remembers me--you see me--afresh. Frederick: Ah.

Actually some see everyone--skyclad. Naked. If they usually conjure nude--- Mindmistress: Eewww. Helen...I was drawn by the Magi-Net... which means...there's nothing as powerful in my time.Vicki: You're saying the boss is--trapped? Editor: Yes. An astral -- net. The mechanism's strengthening me-- these tiny robots--holding her hairlock--merging--will help... Vicki: But? Editor: It's....still...not...*ungh*...enough.

Still following up on the Zebra Girl Magi-Net storyline. Helen Zion, who knew Lorelei, but not Mindmistress, sees MM's astral self as Lorelei. It's not like she's seeing her real body, after all, which is comatose in the present...

Note though, that her mind is still Mindmistress'. Helen might see her as Lorelei---and be surprised at the alertness of her answers...but her words are all Mindmistress'.

This is why Frederick Zion wondered if he met Lorelei before---and why even Mindmistress, whose memory is totally infallible, did not remember meeting him---Frederick first met her here, back in 2002. Mindmistress/Lorelei first met him in the present-day, just yesterday. Don't you love time-paradoxes?

The Editor has every reason to try to save Mindmistress---enlightened self-interest. I don't want to think what Vicki will tell the robots to do---if Mindmistress doesn't survive---and the Editor's too weak to resist. So it's in the Editor's interest to get her back. Which tickles me a little...that one of Mindmistress' greatest enemies, the one who gave her arguably her greatest fight---is trying to get her back---

...And can't.

Mindmistress is coming to a realization. And it's not good.

I hope you caught yesterday's installment of THE CROSSOVERLORD and it's Drunkduck mirror site (and now, comicgenesis mirror site) Remus Shepherd did one of our finiest pages yet---and one that was very, very, very creepy.

So if you want to see Mindmistress four times a week---start reading The CROSSOVERLORD every Tuesday. I put up a new page showcasting the past logos that I create each week for the webcomicsnation site, at PAST LOGOS. Oh, and you might check out REALITEASE, to see which webcomics happen in Mindmistress' reality, among others. To say nothing of the regularly updating comics that are a part of Crossoverlord, like Dasien, A.N.T., and Lightbringer...(check out the links at the Crossoverlord site or my links page....you'll be glad you did. )

Well, working on one---there's still last week's update of FLICKERFLAME....as Lafferty changes yet again, and reveals hidden layers in his scheming.

FEATURED LINK (held over): FRANKENSTEIN AND THE BLACK SEA DEAD ---a continuation of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein with KILLER art.

If you want to know when I update---although I've been aiming for Mondays, Wednesday, and Fridays...you can go to COMIC ALERT and sign up to see when Mindmistress...and many other webcomics...update.

Drop by the Forum when you can. Ask questions. Debate. Comment. Talk about good superheroics in general. Return to discuss an excellent webcomic or two. Find out the meaning of life. (Hey, it could happen...)

Vote in the lists above. Please? Spread the word in groups you frequent. And thanks for both. Oh, and remember if you vote on the Buzzcomix one, the first one, you will often get a glimpse of the next page...one panel of it, anyway..
